Charles Butt and Leonardo "Flaco" Jiménez with the History-Making Texan Award. The award was be presented at the Foundation's annual Texas Independence Day Dinner held at the Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin.
Carla and Brad Moran served as event chairs, and Jan Felts Bullock of Austin was the honorary chair.

The dinner celebrates the state’s rich cultural heritage and generates support for the Bullock Museum, the nation’s
premier institution on Texas history. Over 500 business, political and community leaders from around the state attended the event. Through the generosity of event sponsors, the evening raised over $1 million in support of the many educational programs and special projects of the Bullock Museum, including School Tours that benefit over 100,000 students annually.
